The Graveyard Slot: Episode #1 (2021)

This was my very first edited & scripted video, from back when I had ambitions of becoming a Breadtuber. It really doesn't hold up too well.

Stop Press: Episode #1 (2021)

This was a spin-off of the above video, based on the 'reading the newspaper' bit in that vid. It's slightly better, & includes a fake advert (my first foray into sketch comedy!).

Donny's Retirement (2021)

This was the first video of mine that you could call an 'animation'. It's more like a animatic with an unsuccessful attempt at Squigglevision, though. As you can tell, I really don't like the 45th President of the United States.

Gucci Pucci (2021)

A more successful attempt at the 'animatic with Squigglevision' formula that I'd trialed with my previous vid, thanks to drawing up blueprints to co-ordinate the various slides. I got the title from a conversation between two of my siblings that I overheard, & went from there.

Football Fever (2021)

This sketch was made in vague response to the ridiculous amount of hype over the English men's football team reaching the finals of Euro 2020 (which, due to pandemic-induced delays, happened in 2021) & the subsequent racist abuse towards several of the players following their defeat in the hands of Italy. It was originally going to be one of the sketches in a 2nd episode of The Recluse of Random, but we made the decision to cancel the series & upload the sketches individually.

Flight Delayed (2021)

This was the first full-blown animation I ever did. BB & I wrote the script on the fly & did voicework for it in one evening. I then spent about 3 weeks painstakingly animating the darn thing, only for Adobe Animate to throw the fucking voice files & foley out of sync! By the way, it was BB's idea to make the Co-Pilot's animations more jagged & low-framerate than the Pilot's. I was the one who came up with the idea to bitcrush the Co-Pilot's lines, however.

Snake Oil (2021)

This was my second 'proper' animation. I made the connection between cryptocurrencies & Old West snake-oil salesmen & went from there.

Character Animator Test - Morte (2021)

Back when I hadn't dropped out of college I had the entire Adobe suite (minus the Substance subsuite) at my disposal at a discounted price (I am not competant enough to pirate). So, one day I decided to make the most of it & dick around with Adobe Character Animator. I reckoned that Morte from Planescape: Torment was a good character to practice with (a literal floating skull with eyes has much less parts to worry about than the average Character Animator rig!). Of course, I dropped out of college not long after & I haven't used the programme since.

Stop-Motion Project #1 (2022)

My college teacher told me to make a brief 10 second stop-motion animation (specifically a claymation) about either sea-life, farm-life or space life, & despite my lack of stop-motion equipment (namely one of those neat little skeletons that you can use to pose the models), I complied & made a little fish. You can see my hand in a couple of the frames, but the fish would've made a couple of jumps had I excised those frames & so I decided to leave them in.

Pride Ad (2022)

Pride Month had just concluded when I made this video & I was honestly fed up of the performative queer-friendliness that most corporations adopt in June, as well as pissed-off at the National Lottery Community Fund's decision to give the LGB Alliance (an anti-trans hate group) £9,000.
